Ordering From Us

These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed with Salt & Vinegar Fish & Chips, whether through our website or over the phone. Ordering with us confirms that you accept these conditions.

1. Acceptance of Conditions

Ordering with us constitutes your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions, which take effect from the time you first access the website or place an order by phone. If you do not accept these terms, you must not place an order online or over the phone.

You can access our full menu and order from us through this website. All orders are therefore subject to these conditions.

2. Cancellation

Once your order has been placed, we begin preparing and cooking your food straight away. If you wish to cancel your order, please call us within 5 minutes of placing the original order to request a full refund.

Cancellation requests must be made by phone rather than by email. As your order is perishable, a cooling-off period for cancellation does not apply.

3. Allergies

We cannot guarantee that any of our foods are free from nuts, nut derivatives, or other ingredients that may cause allergies or allergic reactions.

Our food is prepared in a kitchen where many ingredients are present. If you have any food allergy or dietary concern, please contact us before placing your order.

4. Delivery Times

We aim to deliver your order to the address provided within approximately 45–60 minutes. During busy periods, delivery may take longer.

In some circumstances, we may be able to notify you before ordering if we expect a delay. If circumstances outside our direct control cause your delivery to be delayed, we will do our best to keep you updated.

5. Minimum Order & Delivery Charges

We have a minimum order value of £15. If delivery charges apply, these will be confirmed during the order process, whether you order online or over the phone.

6. Address Details

You agree to provide a valid postcode, full delivery address, and contact telephone number when placing your order.

If incorrect details are provided, we may be unable to deliver within any previously estimated timescale. You agree not to withhold payment where delivery could not be completed due to incorrect address or contact information.

7. Order Confirmation

We reserve the right to cancel your order if we are unable to contact you by phone or email after the order has been placed. This helps protect us against fraudulent or hoax orders.

In some circumstances, such as exceptionally large orders, we may require a deposit before confirming the order. If you order online or over the phone, the total price will be confirmed before the order is completed.

8. Catchment Area & Delivery

If your address is outside our stated delivery area, we may be unable to deliver within our usual estimated times. If you are unsure, please call us before placing your order and we will provide an estimated delivery time where possible.

9. Website Photos & Pictures

Food photographs on this website are for illustration purposes only and may not exactly represent the dishes delivered to you.

There may be differences between the images displayed and the ingredients, packaging, or presentation of the dishes received. All photographs are serving suggestions or generic representations.

10. Food Descriptions & Ingredients

Dish descriptions on the website are intended to describe the item in question. Where ingredients are unavailable or out of stock, our team may choose suitable replacements where appropriate.

If you are unsure about the ingredients, contents, or packaging of any dish, please call and discuss this with our staff before ordering.

“Home-made” means created and cooked from scratch by us. “Fresh” means not frozen or tinned. “(v)” indicates a dish without meat or fish. Where food colouring is used, it is used in line with applicable food additive regulations.

11. Portion Sizes

We generally use standard takeaway containers for our dishes. We reserve the right to use alternative packaging, but portion sizes will remain equivalent where possible.

Please note that some dishes may settle during delivery.

12. Contract

By placing an order, you are entering into a contract with Salt & Vinegar Fish & Chips for the preparation and, where applicable, delivery of your order.

13. Liability

We will not be liable for any claims or losses, including direct, indirect, special, economic, or consequential loss or damage. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of profits, revenue, or goodwill arising from the use of this website or any material provided through email or other communication methods.

14. Complaints & Requests
